چکیده

We present new measurements of the UV spectral slope $\beta$ for galaxies at $z=6-9$ in Frontier Fields cluster MACSJ0416.1-2403 and its parallel field, to an unprecedented level low stellar mass. fit synthetic population models observed energy distribution calculate by fitting a power law best-fit spectrum. With this method, we report derivation rest-frame colours program extending out $z=9$, probing magnitudes as faint $M\mathrm{_{UV}=-13.5}$ $z=6$. find no significant correlation between magnitude $M_{1500}$ all redshifts, but do strong mass with lower exhibiting bluer slopes. At $z=7$ bluest median value our sample is redder than previously reported values literature, whereas $z=9$ data point has $\beta=-2.63_{-0.43}^{+0.52}$. Thus, evidence extreme populations $z>6$. also observe SFR, such that SFRs exhibit Additionally, there exists star formation main sequence up $z = 9$ correlating All these relations show correlate process drives both overall SFR assembly. Furthermore, trend specific suggesting getting set global driven scale galaxy.

Spectroscopy and Stellar Populations of Star - forming Galaxies at z ∼ 3 in the Hubble Deep Field - South

We present results of VLT/FORS2 spectroscopy of galaxies at z ∼ 3 in the Hubble Deep Field-South (HDF-S). A sample of galaxies was drawn from the photometric redshift catalogue based on the HST/WFPC2 optical images and the deep near-infrared images obtained with VLT/ISAAC as a part of the Faint Infrared Extragalactic Survey (FIRES) project. We selected galaxies with photometric redshift between...

Uv to Mid-ir Observations of Star-forming Galaxies at Z ∼ 2: Stellar Masses and Stellar Populations

We present the broad-band UV through mid-infrared spectral energy distributions (SEDs) of a sample of 72 spectroscopically-confirmed star-forming galaxies at z = 2.30± 0.3. Located in a 72 arcmin field centered on the bright background QSO, HS1700+643, these galaxies were pre-selected to lie at z ∼ 2 based solely on their rest-frame UV colors and luminosities, and should be representative of UV...

Stellar Populations in the Central Galaxies of Fossil Groups

It is inferred from the symmetrical and luminous X-ray emission of fossil groups that they are mature, relaxed galaxy systems. Cosmological simulations and observations focusing on their dark halo and inter-galactic medium properties confirm their early formation. Recent photometric observations suggest that, unlike the majority of non-fossil brightest group galaxies (BGGs), the central early-t...

Spectral & Photometric Evolution of Simple Stellar Populations at Various Metallicities

A new set of evolutionary synthesis spectra are presented for Simple Stellar Populations (SSPs) covering ranges in metallicity from 0.02 ≤ Z/Z⊙ ≤ 2.5 and ages from 4 · 10 6 yr ≤ t ≤ 16 Gyr. They are based on the most recent isochrones from the Padova group that extend earlier models by the inclusion of the thermal pulsing AGB phase for stars in the mass range 2M⊙ ≤ m ≤ 7M⊙ in accordance with th...
